# BlueDose > BlueDose is a free pool and hot tub water-chemistry calculator for Android, published by Swift Softs. You enter a water test and it tells you exactly how much of each chemical to add, in the order to add it, for your pool's volume and the products you have. Solids use available-chlorine fraction. 12.5% liquid chlorine: 10.24 fl oz raises 10,000 US gal by 1 ppm. - pH doses use a closed-system carbonate, cyanurate and borate equilibrium of the measured water, so acid demand rises with alkalinity. - Water balance is the Langelier-form calcium saturation index with carbonate alkalinity corrected for CYA and borates; target about -0.3 to +0.2. - Reference doses per 10,000 US gal: baking soda 1.4 lb per +10 ppm TA; calcium chloride 77% 1.2 lb per +10 ppm CH; stabilizer 13.3 oz per +10 ppm CYA; salt 83 lb per +1,000 ppm; muriatic acid 31.45% 25.6 fl oz per -10 ppm TA. - Doses are estimates for the entered volume and product strengths. Follow the product label, add one chemical at a time, and retest. ## Links - [BlueDose home page](https://swiftsofts.com/bluedose/): features, screenshots, chemistry notes, FAQ - [FAQ](https://swiftsofts.com/bluedose/#faq): price, account, chemicals, hot tubs, TFP vs industry ranges, metric, accuracy, data - [Privacy policy](https://swiftsofts.com/bluedose/privacy.html): no personal data collected; data stays on the device - [Support](https://swiftsofts.com/bluedose/support.html): contact, backup and restore, bug reports - [Google Play listing](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swiftsofts.bluedose)
